The Mauritius Council of Social Service (MACOSS) is a not-for-profit body corporate established by the MACOSS Act 1970.

As the National Platform of CSOs in Mauritius, recognised locally, regionally and internationally, MACOSS has more than fifty years of professional expertise and experience in networking, capacity building, advocacy, policy influencing and social work.

Since its inception, MACOSS has remained a key player partnering with the state and non-state actors in consolidating nation building and reinforcing democracy. Being a membership-based organisation, MACOSS is the voice of its members engaging with key stakeholders, cross-cutting gender and youth in line with its Objects, for a transformative positive change in the society that is impactful, visible, inclusive and sustainable.
